Hello, my name is Karen and I'm a photographer & adventurer. I grew up in Japan (in the city and by the sea), occasionally returning to my state-side home deep in the north Georgia woods.
I document life, love and the people who have fallen in love with each other. I gravitate towards what is organic, artful, unique; to me, that is weddings. I'm based in Brooklyn but my work takes me many places.
In my spare time I enjoy art, exploring new land, estate sales, tea parties, and "farming" on my fire escape.
It's so nice to meet you.

Yes! I travel for most of my weddings and love it when another adventure comes my way. I usually ask for airfare, a hotel room for 2 nights, and possibly a rental car. I always travel economy and am happy to give a quote before booking.
*For weddings outside of New York City limits (more than 1 hour drive & finishes later than 11pm) I do require accommodation and a rental car.

A canon 5d mark ii + a long list of prime lenses.

Your photos are yours, so you are welcome to make prints on your own wherever you like!
